That’s why we gather at Helsinki Contemporary Gallery. Founded in 2011 and led by Olli Piippo, the gallery is committed to long-term collaborations with Nordic artists, creating space for dialogue between art, society, and the world around us. It’s the perfect setting for an evening of ideas, encounters, and exploration.
Gestures – Sanna Kannisto’s Exhibition
Sanna Kannisto’s Gestures sets the scene for the evening. Her photography blends art, science, and chance, capturing the personalities of birds in fleeting gestures and interactions. Working in field studios that function as both laboratory and stage, she reveals unseen connections between nature and perception.
As we gather, her work offers a fitting reminder—sometimes, the most meaningful moments happen in observation, movement, and exchange. In nature, as in life, connection is everything, and everything is connected.

Strangeness with the Mostness – Outo
A soirée with a surprise! Chef Juho Saralehto, known for his work in Michelin-starred restaurants and his punk startup Outo, presents a bold, playful take on flavour—where the unexpected isn’t just welcomed, it’s celebrated.
Outo redefines contemporary cuisine and the very notion of what a restaurant can be. It draws you into an exploration of taste and creativity, a reminder that the best connections happen when we embrace the unfamiliar.
For the night, Outo serves up curious, thought-provoking bites designed to spark conversation and challenge expectations.
Because sometimes, the strangest things bring us together.
A Taste of the Future? Naturally
Möttönen isn’t just a brand; it’s an experience. Inspired by Nordic nature and the evolving role of water in culture, their drinks blend taste, sustainability, and storytelling—a perfect complement to an evening about future, art, and business.
For the night, they bring WHITEEE Kylmätee—a water kefir made from berries and wild herbs, lightly sparkling and crafted to be enjoyed like a fine wine. A drink that doesn’t interrupt the moment but flows with it—keeping conversations, senses, and connections alive.
Inspired by the future of mindful drinking, the evening also features futuristic functional mocktails—designed to enhance the experience and sharpen the senses. Crafted with botanicals, adaptogens, and unexpected pairings, these drinks are a glimpse into the evolving role of beverages in social connection and wellbeing.

Terhen joins the evening as a natural complement to the gathering. Just as we come together to exchange ideas, Terhen offers a moment to pause—reminding us that connection isn’t only about conversation, but also about how we feel, recharge, and engage within ourselves.
Rooted in Nordic wellbeing traditions, the age-old Finnish sauna culture, and the rhythm of the seasons, Terhen creates experiences that help us slow down, reconnect, and restore balance.
